The threat here is a computer virus that is intelligent and wants to wipe out humans. Michael Nouri (FLASHDANCE, DRACULA in that 70's CLIFFHANGER series) runs a computer company which is contaminated by a program given to his son by one of his old colleagues & former employees. This is Timothy Busfield (THIRTY SOMETHING) who gives a good performance as the bitter computer nerd. Marina Sirtis (STAR TREK: TNG) is his ex-wife, who is angry all the time. There's one scene involving a gas station exploding which reminded me of that scene in Hitchcock THE BIRDS, which only make me realize how tame this movie is by comparison. There's a lot of cheesy computer effects and the overdone story of a father trying to relate to his son. TERMINAL ERROR is the type of movie you'd likely see on The Family Channel. Released by MTI (2004)
