Compared to the previous two T movies this is a disappointment. By no means is this a bad movie-it just comes off as needless and anti-climactic. John Connor is ten years older, basically a homeless person wandering the country on his motorcycle, until he wipes out to avoid hitting a deer. He breaks into a nearby animal clinic for some pain killers and bandages-and is caught red-handed by Claire Danes. She's very much like Sarah Connor in the first movie. In fact, at one point in the movie he says to her 'You remind me of my mother'. Alas, Linda Hamilton's character has been killed off by lukemia years before, which explains her absence. Arnold's terminator is a cross between the first two-sometimes good, sometimes bad-we're not too sure what his ultimate goal is. The newest terminator, a young blonde emotionless woman, is a better villain than Robert Patrick's T-1000. On the downside, she's extremely reminiscent of Sil from the movie SPECIES. Her cybernetic skeleton form looks too much like that creature. Yes, this does wrap up the series and you have to see this for completion. Just don't be getting your hopes up.If you're interested in a MUCH better conclusion to the terminator story read S.M. Stirling's T2 trilogy, which Is an entirely different story of the RISE OF THE MACHINES. Unlike the movie it's much more faithful in spirit.
