An alien pet, which can mutate into a dangerous, man-eating monster, is accidently beamed to Earth and picked up by a family's satellite receiver, where it emerges from the TV to claim its victims. This family, the Puttermans, consists of Gerrit Graham and Mary Woronov as the swinging husband and wife, Grandpa, a survivalist who eats lizard tails, a punked-out daughter and a precocious son. The monster effects are decent and appropriately gross and the acting a bit over the top, though it fits the tone of the movie. Directed by Ted Nicolaou.
