Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, The (2006)
Movie Review by The Undertaker

Surprisingly, this turned out to be one of '06's best movies if you ask me. It basically shows the origins of what was the remake, and to me is actually a better movie. It's a little more gruesome, bloody, fun, and original. While this and the 1st remake will never touch the original TCM and sequel, they stand well on their own accord. This film packs several gut punches and I loved how Uncle Monty's bullet wound is fixed. Damn, that shit was funny. R. Lee Emery deserves all the credit in the world for both film's as he makes them for me, especially this one. The pace of the movie is perfect and you pretty much knew noone was getting away alive. I do hope, however, this will be the last film in the series, but I doubt it. In any event, hearing a chainsaw fire up, the screams of the victims, skin worn for a mask, limbs torn asunder, and witty banter never get old to me. TCM: The Beginning makes a brutal nights entertainment. A female friend I saw this at the movies with said she felt sick during the face skinning scene. Mission accomplished.
