An army guy goes home to re-bond with his younger, genius brother, who has drifted away from the family. But once he gets there he finds out that his brother has been killed. It seems that his brother was doing experiments with cockroaches--and figured out something he wasn't suppossed to. The army guy and a woman detective start piecing together all the clues and find out that he was working for the U.S Government and that they may have killed him. But it turns out that it was really his brother's friend, named Lazarus, who did all the killing. You see, they figured out how to control the roaches through a frequency--and they could be programmed to kill. In the end the roaches all come together to form a giant cockroach, which chases the two around a warehouse--but it's ultimately killed in the stereotypical explosion. Interesting movie but a bit sloppily scripted. An unrecognizable Mickey Roarke makes an appearance.
