This is a surprisingly well-done vampire movie, written/directed/produced and starring Dylan O'Leary. Whew. A world famous genetic engineer by the name of Abraham Van Helsing (yes, he is the great great great Grandson of the famous vampire slayer) discovers the secret of immortality, which has to do with a strange virus. This virus is what causes vampirism. The 'king of the undead' wants Van Helsing to make him all virus so that he can become more powerful. There's also a dark, seductive student who seduces Van Helsing-and she also turns out to be a vampire, who has a very surprising tie to him (I did not see that coming). Sure, the story gets convoluted at times but it's so fast paced, so crammed with odd characters and situations (such as the karate vampire fighters) that you readily forgive this.
