Two newlyweds (one of them Dick York of BEWITCHED TV series), flat out broke, decide to go stay with his creepy old uncle (Karloff). They arrive at the run-down mansion, which is covered in dust and cobwebs. When the uncle makes his appearance he doesn't look much better, his clothes all moldy and moth-eaten. He agrees to let them stay with him for a week under one stipulation. They have to stay in their bedroom during the night, not wander or explore the house. In fact, the uncle locks them in the room at night so they can't leave. This gets the husband's curiousity-and one night he picks the lock and ventures into the house. What he discovers is that his crazy relative has come up with a way to resurrect the dead from their graves-and what he's done is bring back his old adversaries from the University where he had taught in order to punish them. They didn't believe he had found the secret to life-so he's making sure to punish them over and over again.MARKESAN is a good, creepy zombie tale.
