Trail of a Serial Killer (1998)

Chris Penn and Michael Madsen meander through this stereotypical serial killer movie (probably because they both had a weekend free and had alimony to pay). Both characters are obsessed with finding the killer, who seems to be targetting members of a phobia support group. One by one the patients are picked off--and by the time the duo realize it's the therapist (what do movies have against therapists?) it's too late. The only thing slightly different about this serial killer film is that the killer is a female, made implausible when we see her tackling Penn, who must be five times her weight.
