Remember this flick? If you were an 80's kid you gotta know this shit!! The ORIGINAL theatrical movie for Transformers was this incredible animated film that brings the war between the Autobots and Decepticons in your face with all the great characters and toys that were so cool and popular then and now. Watching this now, it brings a tear to the eye just remembering the series and the good old days. The 80's soundtrack also brings tears to the eyes, wow, scary at times hahahaha! Still, if you're a fan of the old series you need to own this if you don't already. You really get a sense of the difference between the robot races viewing this. The animation is awesome as are the voices and the story. This is not for kids. There are deaths on both sides, the saddest being that of Optimus Prime in the beginning of the movie. This movie didn't pull any punches with its characters huh? It's a good movie to see if you are a newbie Transformers fan after seeing the new live-action film to see some history and get some idea of what all this shit is about. There are tons of characters and things to know. This movie will help you greatly, hahaha. All the great fights and blasting action will improve your life, transform it even. The Matrix was here long before it was a movie. Still funny to think Scatman Crothers, Orson Wells, Casey Kasem, Judd Nelson, & Leonard Nimoy were put together to do voice work on it. One of the better animated movies ever made from a cartoon series, maybe the best. The 20th anniversary DVD rocks.
