Wallace Bryton (Justin Long) is a not-so-very-nice podcaster who takes a trip to Canada to make fun of a nerd who accidently cut off his leg. However, when he arrives at the kid's home he finds out that he killed himself in humiliation. Desperate to not go back empty handed with a story, he calls a number he sees posted in a restroom. He meets a weird old guy named Howard Howe, who lives in a secluded mansion. He offers Wallace some tea as he recounts a story of how he was a castaway at sea and was saved by a walrus. The tea is drugged and Wallace awakens to find out one of his legs has been amputated. Then, things gets worse for Wallace as he makes his transformation into a human walrus. Meanwhile, Wallace's podcast partner, Teddy (Haley Joel Osment of THE SIXTH SENSE) and Wallace's girlfriend, Ally, go in search of him. They meet up with an ex-cop, Guy Lapointe (a hilarious, uncredited Johnny Depp) and eventually discover what happened to Wallace.
This is basically Kevin Smith's version of THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE. Highly recommended.
