This is very low-key compared to the previous movie, TWILIGHT: ECLIPSE. It begins with teenager Bella and vampire Edward getting married and going on their honeymoon in Brazil. Things take an unexpected turn when Bella realizes she's pregnant, which should be an impossibility. This concerns Edward, as the locals have dire stories of a vampire "demon" child. He fears the worst for Bella--but she'd determined to go on with this accelerated pregnancy. They return to the States and Edward's family takes care of her. Basically, the fetus begins starving her body and she becomes this skeletal version of herself. Some of the werewolves don't like this--and are determined to kill the vampire hybrid child. Native American Jacob Black, who is Bella's best friend--and a werewolf--has mixed emotions about this but in the end chooses to protect her and the kid.
This isn't a bad movie and it did keep my interest. However, as with the HARRY POTTER films I always feel like I'm watching a rerun, as none of these ideas are particularly original. The effects are excellent, especially making Bella look emaciated from bearing her hybrid child.
