An anthropology professor (Richard Hatch) takes an expedition deep into the wilds to discover a hidden treasure of Native-American gold. He soon finds out, however, that it is guarded by an invisible alien presence. Hatch reveals to his female colleague that his intention was to steal the gold and sell it, then live out a comfortable life in South America. Unfortunately for him, it doesn't work out that way. After the group takes the gold out the aliens follow them, killing them off one by one. The survivors realize that in order to make the creatures stop killing them that they have to return the stolen goods to the cavern where they found it.This is a good, entertaining monster movie, reminding me of those Saturday morning creature features which showed those movies from the 50's and 60's (like GIANT FROM THE UNKNOWN). And it's good seeing the long absent Hatch in a movie non-Battlestar related. UNSEEN EVIL is also far superior to the crappy sequel, ALIEN 2000.Directed by Jay Woelfel (GHOST LAKE, BEYOND DREAMS DOOR)
