A struggling young writer moves into an old apartment building occupied by a bunch of other non-published authors and meets a ghost named Valerie. He keeps on seeing her on the top stairs of the building and she's usually accompanied by an evil looking horned demon (Tony Todd) who drags her away. The writer starts feeling protective of her and wants to help her. What he discovers is not at all what he - or the viewer - expects. He must go through the wall, into the lair of the blood demon to save this woman, though the chances of that aren't likely.
