I found this animated prequel to be more entertaining than the overblown movie. The story involves the Mr. Hyde character, and how Dr. Jeckyll is using that persona to capture the youth from his victims (the Ripper's victims). What he does with this captured youth is to make the Queen of England younger so that he can take her away and marry her. It seems that he had a crush on her for the past forty years-and through his recent discoveries-and these helpful demons living under London-is able to try to make his dream of romance come true. In comes Van Helsing and his monk sidekick. It ends just before the events at the beginning of the VAN HELSING movie.
