What a great idea for a movie-a haunted/cursed van! Rusty Guzner (Colin Malone) is a serial killer who drives the vehicle, searching for prey. This character is memorable, vicious & for some reason reminded me of Billy Bob Thornton with a hangover. Anyways, two other stories trace the van's past to its previous owners. One is a young man obsessed with getting his foreign exchange student girlfriend back-and he ends up a demented stalker. And then there's Paul, a mentally-challenged dishwasher who has a strong desire to drive his own vehicle. He finds the van, abandoned on the street, and quickly adopts it as his own. He doesn't seem too upset by the dead bodies within. His personality changes to evil and people who were his friends start to die.The thing that really sets this apart from other Indy productions is the quality of acting-I felt that I was just watching these characters in these bad situations, not watching 'actors'. For not one moment did I hit the fast-forward button the the DVD player. THE VAN is a fun and horrific ride.
