What a weird DVD. There's forty-five minutes of material, which consists of three short 16mm films and interviews. The main film is directed by 'Misty Mundae', that regular of the E.I Cinema clan, and is about a woman who is cursed by another woman doing voodoo to her. It's black and white and silent, with only the music for the soundtrack. There are some disturbing images and crude stop-motion-animation. To explain what it's about and why it was made there's a lengthy interview with Misty, who insists that only true filmmakers shoot on film, not video. The other two films are SOUR MILK, by Joe Miller (who shot the Voodoun Blues movie) and NIGHT OF THE WHORROR HOPPERS by Katie Bordeaux (who is the voodoo woman in Mundae's short). In SOUR MILK a guy with a mohawk goes out to a nearby park and appears to kill people with his mind. I can't really tell you what the other short film is about. PHS.Basically, this is a trio of weird student films, nothing more. I suppose if you're a fan of Misty Mundae you'll have to get this DVD. Well, I've seen her in a few flicks and can't say I'm a fan.
