Professor Aisling (Beau Bridges) and his two daughers, Miranda and Cassie, are transported to a magical land of elves, dwarves and trolls after the trolls invade their University home. They encounter creatures from mythology, such as the Minotaur, a Sphinx, and befriend the Medusa, who becomes a love-interest for the father. The special effects and makeup effects are just 'so-so' and the story falls flat and predictable. Even if you're a LORD OF THE RINGS fan you'll be hard pressed to sit through this family friendly fantasy.
