A group of scientist space-explorers awaken from cyrogenic sleep after their spaceship crash lands on a barren planet. One of their party is missing from the sleep chamber-and it looks as if that person was ripped from it, as there is blood all over the glass. They soon find out that it's a big hairy alien, which looks like a guy in a gorilla suit. He kills a few of them before they kill him The astronauts attempt to explore the surrounding area but they are enclosed by an invisible, glass-like forcefield. Are the intelligent aliens studying them for some diabolical purpose? These creatures resemble the typical 'Grey' type aliens, small and with large eyes and heads. The story is interesting, if stereotypical, but the extremely cheap production values sabotage the movie, especially the visual effects by David Rosler and The Rosler Group. If the movie was made twenty-years ago they would have been cool. Here, they simply look like computer screen-savers.WAR OF THE PLANETS is not worth the view.
