Although there are a few instances that remind me of those infamous cannibal movies from the 70's, this comes nowhere near that level of intenseness. It's just another "camera POV" movie and not executed nearly as well as BLAIR WITCH, CLOVERFIELD or QUARANTINE. The only really nasty bit in the whole movie is when the two survivors find their friend, impaled with a spear through her head. Don't bother renting as you'll be disappointed.
