In this sequel to the original THE WICKER MAN (1973) two American Born-Again Christians visit a small Scottish Village who still worship the old gods. They want to tell them all about Jesus but the villagers aren't so interested in that. Rather, the pagan villagers very clearly have plans for the naive couple which you know involves some type of human sacrifice. The movie does have the same feel and tone as the first movie but I found the two lead actors lacking. It also took far too long for the story to unfold. However, I did like the brief cameo by Christopher Lee, who reprises his role from the first film.
Directed by Robin Hardy, who directed the original.
