This new installment follows in the footsteps of CANDYMAN 3: DAY OF THE DEAD, in that it is a far inferior sequel that blatantly repeats the story from the first movie. Although Andrew Divoff is effectively creepy as the djinn the remainder of the cast contributes to the movie's downfall. One of the highly original plotlines involves a punked out girl who is in love with a priest-yet neither actor is convincing in their roles, not to mention that neither of them isn't old enough to have any history together!
