It's Halloween, 1987, and WNUF is broadcasting their Halloween special, hosted by two newscasters dressed as vampires. An on-location reporter is at the supposedly haunted Webber House, with a group of people ready to go in. In between all this are the appropriately bad commercials and previews for syndicated television shows. However, things go very badly for the reporter--one of the reasons this program was completely destroyed after its original airing. But footage has been discovered, 25 years later, and now the public can see what really happened...
Of the "found footage" sub-genre of horror films the WNUF Halloween Special exceeds expectations and is a very entertaining movie, not only for the horror aspect but for the recreation of 80's local television. Highly recommended.
