I think this is one of those movies that you clearly like or dislike.
A group of friends decide to get together and go camping near Wolf Creek, the site of a huge meteor impact way out in the Australian outback. The first hour of the movie is the interaction of these two women and the guy-and the second half is them being captured, tortured and trying to escape from this crazy guy who seems to enjoy killing people. There are a few grisly scenes, such as the remains of a recent victim nailed to a wall and when one of the female characters stumbles upon where the killer throws away the dead bodies. The best aspect of the film is that you care what happens to the characters. Watching them trying to survive keeps you on the edge of your seat.
I found this better than the HILLS HAVE EYES remake, a bit more scary because the killer in this is much more plausible.
I think this is one of those movies that you clearly like or dislike.
