  • All you have to do is push the button.
Movie Quote(s):
  • Dana: Somebody pushing your buttons?
  • Norma Lewis: You sure do ask a lot of questions. Walter Lewis: And now you're avoiding them.
  • Martin Teague: Sir? If you don't mind my asking... why a box? Arlington Steward: Your home is a box. Your car is a box on wheels. You drive to work in it. You drive home in it. You sit in your home, staring into a box. It erodes your soul, while the box that is your body inevitably withers... then dies. Where upon it is placed in the ultimate box, to slowly decompose. Martin Teague: It's quite depressing, if you think of it that way. Arlington Steward: Don't think of it that way... think of it as a temporary state of being.
  • Arlington Steward: I'm sorry, but I have a very busy day.
  • Arlington Steward: I have an offer to make. If you push the button, two things will happen. First, someone, somewhere in the world, whom you don't know, will die. Second, you will receive a payment of one million dollars. You have 24 hours.
Movie Trivia:
  • Veteran character actor, Basil Hoffman, was also in the original version of this story when "Button, Button" aired on "The Twilight Zone: Profile in Silver/Button, Button (#1.20)" (1986).
  • This marks the first feature-length film scored by members of the Canadian band Arcade Fire (Win Butler, Régine Chassagne and Owen Pallett)
  • This marks the first PG-13 film to be directed by Richard Kelly.
  • Charlie Clouser's score from Saw (2004) was used for the trailer.
  • On the commentary of Tony Scott's Domino (2005), Richard Kelly outright dismissed shooting a 1970s period piece with a digital camera. But after seeing David Fincher's Zodiac (2007/I), Kelly's position quickly changed and he was quoted saying, "It can be done."
