A young American couple are vacationing in Iceland. One morning they wake up to discover that everyone has disappeared. The town they are staying in is completely abandoned. At first the guy rationalizes that it must be some strange holiday and they are all on the other side of the island. But as they do exploring they come to the realization that it's just them. The girlfriend gets depressed and wants to go back to the States, which is now impossible since they don't know how to fly a plane or operate a ship. They do some more exploring. The investigate an apartment and go to a water processing plant. Eventually they find another survivor, an old man, who doesn't know much more than they do.
This is perhaps the most boring, uneventful "End of the World" movie I've ever seen. My main question is why have it take place in sparsely populated Iceland?-a few more people vanishing isn't all that creepy.
