Written by Michael Swanwick. Richard Leyster, a world-renowned paleontologist, is approached by a mysterious stranger with an even stranger offer. He is to be among a select group of scientists allowed to time-travel into the past, to witness the dinosaurs first-hand. And he must keep this secret to himself, at least until thirty-years in the future, when time-travel is 'discovered'. There are lots of paradoxes, alternate realities, a nemisis in the form of a woman paleontologist, a surprising twist and, of course, lots and lots of dinosaurs. This is one of those books that you sit down and read in two days, particularly if you enjoy time-travel books. Well written, has a wry sense of humor and the characters are quite memorable.
