This homage to the old horror comics, like E.C and CREEPY, is exactly how you'd think it would be. Doug Graves, the caretaker at a graveyard, tells two creepy tales. The first is about a bum who used to be an archeology professor. He gets ahold of some ancient scrolls and resurrects a mummy, which proceeds to kill a bunch of people in very gory ways. It doesn't end up well for the bum. Then, it's "Shapeshifters!", which deals with werewolves that belong to a local gym. And the twist isn't entirely unexpected- vampires pop up to be their undoing. BURIAL PLOTS is a cool, one-shot, the result of two indie filmmakers who had the itch to do a comic that didn't have the restraints that a film budget brings with it. Recommended.
