From Image comics comes this cross between CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON and the H.P. Lovecraft mythos. A low-rent side show is approached my a mysterious man, who is disappointed to find out that their advertised 'Creature from the Depths' is really just a man in a suit. He explains to the owner, however, that there really is such a creature and that it guards a sunken golden treasure. He simply needs someone with diving skills to recover it. However, all is not as it seems (is it ever?). This is a good monster book, a decent 'homage' and faithful to the source material. It also reminded me of the old E.C. Comic stories.
