The premiere issue of this comic by the super prolific Steve Niles and artist Ben Roman (I LUV HALLOWEEN) is entertaining like a Saturday morning cartoon from the 70's--which is a good thing. It's a series of short tales about a group of young monsters-- a werewolf, a vampire, a swamp creature and a Jeckyll/Hyde kid--and the shenanigans they get in. For example, a one pager has the vampire practicing various scary faces in the mirror, his friend comes in and asks how it is going and the vampire says "It would be a lot easier if I had a reflection". Roman's artwork is unique and fits the tales, just at it did the I LUV HALLOWEEN series.
