This lushly illustrated hardcover graphic novel present a great idea. A spider-like alien race has migrated to Earth. In the five generations it took to arrive they lost most of their population to starvation and are out of fuel, so this is their only hope for survival. But they haven't arrived in our modern world--they've come to when the dinosaurs ruled the Earth. And these aren't the stereotypical dinosaurs-- these creatures are intelligent. They have tribes, they communicate and even decorate themselves with jewelry. Least to say, the alien's reception isn't taken well. This is a violent world and they are met with the ferocious violence of the native meat-eaters.
I enjoyed this book--and will definitely pick up the next volume, though my only complaint is that it's too short (three comic issues?) and therefore a bit expensive compared to other graphic novels on the market.
