Star Trek: Enterprise
Author: Andy Mangels & Michael A. Martin
This new ENTERPRISE book re-interprets the very last episode of the series in a very clever way. From the show's perspective the events in that hour were told through a holographic simulation experienced by STTNG's Will Riker. This book tells what 'really' happened to Commander Charles 'Trip' Tucker. He doesn't die but fakes his death (with the help of Phlox and a few others) in order to go on a secret mission for Section 31, that clandestine part of Starfleet. His mission: to spy on the Romulans, who may be mounting an attack on the Earth. And, according to the Star Trek mythos, there is the upcoming Romulan War, which I'm sure will be explored in future books in this series. Recommended. This will not disappoint the fans of ENTERPRISE.
