Writer/Artist Tim Truman uses some lesser-known characters of the DC Universe, such as Enemy Ace and Bat Lash, and successfully concocts an Indiana Jones-type adventure. A group of Americans (and a German), in China, decide to seek out some legendary swords that are rumored to be on the "Isle of Dragons"-but the Chinese also want the power they can give so that China can once again become a great nation. They do find this lost island in the South Pacific but so do Ninja-warriors who are also cat-like were-creatures. And let's not forget the ton of dinosaurs. And behind-the-scenes is the immortal Vandal Savage, who wants to put events in place to spur on World War II. This is a fun read and I'm a big fan of Truman's art since GRIMJACK. Recommended.
