Finally, we get slasher hunter Cassie Hack's first foray into hunting down the reanimated serial killers. Soon after slaying her serial-killer mother, who had returned from the dead to kill again, Cassie hits the road and poses as a student at another high school where there's another undead murderer. She makes some friends and this makes her feel like a normal kid. For a short while. Of course, this goes awry and she must face down another undead serial killer. I've been reading the HACK/SLASH comics from the very beginning and I like this story of her earliest adventure, before she hooked up with her companion, Vlad. It's interesting seeing Cassie unsure of herself and just starting out. Highly recommended.
