This one-shot comic, written by T.J. May and illustrated by Shelton Bryant, is a different take on the alien impregnation scenario. Bridget is a young woman who desperately wants to have a child-which is now impossible because she had to undergo a radical hysterectomy. Her older husband, Jack, is basically an asshole, who doesn't want a kid and isn't all that tuned in to what his wife wants. I was scratching my head as to how these two ever got married in the first place. She says she wants to adopt and he doesn't.She has strange dreams and overhears people saying strange things the artwork compliments this as it's somewhat hazy, not sharp-edged, giving the tale a dream-like qualityIt turns out that aliens had extracted some of her eggs months before-and produced a child. They give her a choice of raising him-but the choice of doing so has a high price.Oh, there's also an alien conspiracy to take over the earth with these hybrid human/aliens. And the aliens aren't the little grey big headed ones. For more information on this go to the website at www.summ.net
