This collection consists of all the John Carter of Mars adaptations that were in DC Comic's WEIRD WORLDS series from the 70's. This is primarily based on the books A PRINCESS OF MARS and GODS OF MARS by Edgar Rice Burroughs. While the stories are faithful to the source material I found the artwork just so-so, especially compared to Marvel's JOHN CARTER WARLORD OF MARS which would be published a few years later. Still, the nostalgia value is high, as I just vaguely remembered this series.
The introduction, from Wolfman, puts everything in context and perspective, especially concerning his involvement with both the DC and Marvel adaptions of this character. Recommended.
