This collects the first batch of the crossover stories from DC and Dark Horse comics. The first two stories, with Superman, are the best of the book. The first tale is SUPERMAN vs. PREDATOR, in which Superman goes to South America to investigate a crashed spaceship and his powers are affected by it. He's losing his abilities while a Predator begins hunting people. There's also a clandestine organization run by a mad scientist who wants to "clean the gene pool" by releasing a virus that will kill anyone with a disability. Ironically, the Predator, thought to be the main threat, ends up stopping this. In SUPERMAN vs. THE TERMINATOR: DEATH TO THE FUTURE, a Terminator pursues Sarah and her young son, John Connor, to Metropolis. Superman flies in and saves them and says they are under his protection. She tells Supes about the future with Skynet and the Terminators and that they want John dead. While this is happening the villain The Cyborg (not to be confused with the Justice League member) acquires a Terminator skull and wants to use the technology. More Terminators show up and Superman is whisked away to the future of 2030, where he encounters the older version of Steel, who fills him in as to what happened. They then both try to stop this horrible future from happening. Back in Metropolis, Supergirl steps in to fill her cousin's shoes, protecting both Lois Lane and the Connors while they're being pursued by The Cyborg and a female Terminator. Even Lex Luthor and Superboy join in the battle against the Terminators, as they pose such a threat, particularly these ones that shoot lasers from their eyes and use Kryponite against the Kryptonians. The other two stories involve Batman and Hellboy, and Batgirl with The Ghost, which didn't grab me. So I can only recommend half this book.
