This Star Trek novel takes place between the last season of the Next Generation series and the first NG movie (GENERATIONS). Here, an ancient scroll is discovered on the Klingon homeworld which discredits the legendary Kahless, who is the basis of the current Klingon belief system. The novel goes back and forth from the present, with Worf, Captain Picard and the clone of Kahless, trying to uncover a conspiracy to overthrow the Klingon government, to the Heroic Age, some 1,500 years before, which tells the real tale of Kahless. Author Michael Jan Friedman, one of the best Star Trek writers, creates an intriguing story here-and comes up with an extremely clever twist regarding the Kahless clone. If you're a fan of those Klingons then you'll dig this book.
