This zombie graphic novel is a direct continuation from the first book. Many of the former superheroes, now zombies, has consumed the power of Galactus when he tried to eat the Earth and now have cosmic powers. But they've run out of food again, consuming planet after planet. They reason that if they go back to Earth they can find the machine the zombie Reed Richards built to go to other dimensions--and have a steady supply of new dimensions/people to feed on. Spiderman also notices that the longer he goes without food the more his hunger is fading away....
Then the story cuts to Earth, where surviving humans live in New Wakanda, ruled over by an aging Black Panther. But there's a mutiny and T'challa is stabbed. Janet Pym, who is a zombie but no longer needs to feed and has her reasoning back, bites the dying Black Panther so he won't completely die.
The zombies all start becoming their former selves and regret the horrible things they've done--but ironically are transported to another dimension, where they'll be someone else's problem.
