The hero of the EVIL DEAD movies, Ash, finds himself in another dimension--the Marvel Universe. A nearby homeless person becomes a Deadite and says "This world will die and an army of the dead will arise". Ash is about to chainsaw him when some superheroes show up and stop him, as it looks like he's going to kill a defenseless bag lady. He tries talking to the Avengers about the danger but they think he's crazy. Scarlet Witch zaps him away. Eventually Ash finds some help with Dazzler and they eventually go to Doctor Doom for help, as he's familiar with the Necronimicon.
The book actually had me laughing throughout, which is no easy feat, with Ash fighting a zombiefied Howard the Duck and PowerPack and especially when he keeps referring to Doctor Doom as "Domo arigato, Mister Roboto".
Although it's a cross-over book it does fit in with the continuuity of the previous Marvel Zombies books.
