This one-shot comic book inspired by the Frazetta painting is definitely influenced by Edgar Rice Burroughs, which I suppose fits since that painting was the cover on a 70's edition of ERB's THE MOON MAID book.
Here, the maiden is fleeing across an alien landscape, complete with multiple moons, and is seemingly attacked by a huge ape-like creature. A rescuer, who looks like a centaur, appears and kills the creature and tells her he will take her to a safe place. As you can guess, he's not the good guy she thinks he is. I liked the artwork but the story is too cliched, with such lines as "Come with me if you wish to live".
