This one-shot comic takes place, presumably, during the same time period in which DAWN OF THE DEAD takes place, as it appears to be the 70's rather than the 1960's in which NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD takes place. The story focuses on Eric and Lisa, who are taking a vacation in New York City during the zombie outbreak. They are also almost hit by a limo. The couple take refuge in a diner, that's also housing a gang, but as the zombies attack they're separated, only to meet separate fates.
As with all the previous Russo scripted comic one-shots, this fits well with the mythos he helped create.
