This book was done by Clifford L. Lindecker. Fans of true crime, serial killers, and real life horror will eat this book up. The story of California's Richard Ramirez makes for some pretty nasty reading as he still is one of the more notorious serial slayers. The name still conjures up images of Satanism, rape, and murder for many and the deeds are all presented for your gory enjoyment in this book. California's had as many sex and serial murderers as earthquakes, but the Night Stalker case has always remained of interest thanks to that catchy nickname and the brutality of his crimes. This book does a great job presenting the facts of his spree and the dirty details of the attacks. The killer's background, habits, and piss poor life get a decent examination and we see that this guy was going nowhere fast from the beginning. I liked the 1st half of the book, which did a good job of relating Ramirez's unfolding rampage and capture. The 2nd half focused on the courtroom drama crap of his trial, this bored me and I didn't enjoy the rest of the book. It was interesting to learn how many groupies the guy had while on trial. Guess some chicks really like it rough huh? Still, the court stuff slowed the book for me personally, but many may find that aspect enjoyable. If you are into this kinda thing, Night Stalker may be hiding right up your alley. It might be wrong to review a non-fiction book in the fiction reviews, but this shit is way stranger than the truth.
