This is a graphic-novel adaptation of the script from the 1961 TWILIGHT ZONE episode, expanded a bit with some new characters, such as an ex-air force guy who is going to be arrested when the plane lands at JFK airport in New York City. There's also another guy who has secretly packed a parachute in his carry-on luggage.
When they start out on the Boeing 707 flight it is 1973. But at one point, about an hour from landing, they start increasing speed so that they're hurtling several thousand miles per hour. There's also a mysterious flash of light. They finally do see NYC but it's 1939 New York, as they see the structures build for the '39 World's Fair. So they head back up in hopes of getting back to their own time. Only, they go farther into the past and see a shallow sea where the city used to be. When they do spot land there's a herd of brontosaurs. It's at the point that the air force guy decides he doesn't want to be arrested, and oblivious that they've gone back in time steals the other guy's parachute and jumps out. When he lands he's in for a big surprise--and a T-Rex! The plane's pilots manage to take the plane back up, there's another flash of light. Fortunately, through all of this, they have maintained the same same level of fuel. It's as if they are in some type of temporal limbo. Only now they've overshot their own time period and are in the future. So they try again...
This is a great adaptation of the story and I liked this better than the actual television episode.
