Written by Wm. Mark Simmons. Christopher Csejthe lost his wife and daughter in a car accident a year ago. And during that time he's started to transform-becoming allergic to sunlight, having increased strength. One day he's approached by a woman scientist, who wants to study his rare blood condition, and he agrees to let her do some lab work. She reveals that she works for a secret organization, called a Doman, and that he may be becoming a vampire. At first he doesn't believe her-but after he meets her friends, which include a woman lycanthrope, he becomes more open-minded. He's then introduced to their group, which is led by an ancient vampire. There are also some shadowy figures trying to kill him, who turn out to be mafia types working for a group of vampires who are threatened by his existence (they want him to join their own group). It turns out that Chris is caught midway inbetween the transformation of human and vampire, not having fangs, and he eventually discovers the vampire who attacked him prior to his car accident-Dracula!! For those readers looking for a monster fix there's a shitload of monsters in this book-from vampires to werewolves to zombies to even a mummy, kind of like the whole Universal Monsters pantheon.
