The story begins in the late Sixties in San Francisco, then goes to a space station run by an odd looking alien, far in the future where thousands are in suspended animation in space. It's here that a Russian human has woken from stasis before he's supposed to-and he has this idea to resurrect Stalin, whose DNA has been preserved. It doesn't go well and Dane escapes just in time. Next, Dane is thrust back into the past, where dinosaurs battle even more dangerous, alien monsters. Dane thinks it's some type of experiment because even the greatest of dinosaurs, the T-Rex, has no chance against them. He meets a mute wild woman, also surviving in this crazy world, whom he names Coral. The book's last chapter takes place in the New American Wastelands in 2048, a time after which a nuclear bomb was set off in the Supervolcano under Yellowstone Park. It nearly destroyed the world. It's hear he comes across the other time travelers from the first book, beings who humanity has called "Immortals" throughout mythology. And he wants to stop them...
This book seemed all over the place to me, though it has some cool ideas, especially with the dinosaurs fighting alien creatures. However, Volume 2 is not as good as the first Volume.
