This unauthorized book covers everything from Marvel's PLANET OF THE APES magazine to the Malibur comics to the excellent Boom! Studios prequels as well as the odd cross-overs with ALIEN NATION and, most recently, the original STAR TREK.
I think what I was hoping for was more explanation of continuity between the stories, not just a recap of those stories by various apes experts. Also, there's lots of essays on what makes a POTA tale, which seems like a lot of repetition around the third time it's done. I breezed through this book fast, so it's a quick read, but it didn't inform me on anything I didn't already know, being a fan of the whole franchise.
