Over fifty-years since it's demise, the TALES FROM THE CRYPT comic is back, with new stories. Unfortunately, these stories are lame and predictable, with the artwork not much better. The first tale is about some next door neighbors who want to steal and sell the valuable paintings of their neighbor, only to find out that what he paints - zombies - really exist. It looks like an eight-year-old drew it. The next tale is about guy who still lives at home with his mother and spends all his extra money on collecting sci-fi toys. In fact, he'll go to any lengths to get this new monster figure, even if it means stealing and killing. Again, a very predictable story with nothing new to offer. Judging by this first issue, this resurrection of TALES FROM THE CRYPT is a dismal failure.
