One shot comic, a continuation from the 4 issue mini series TARZAN-THE SAVAGE HEART, in which Tarzan went to Pellucidar after believing Jane was killed. Here, he's setting off on an adventure, to "be free". He leaves Jane behind while he heads off. First, he encounters a humanoid being attacked by snakes-and saves him, though he disappears. Then, the rest of the tribe shows up. They are four-armed and reptilian looking-and they want to eat him. He runs into Tala, Abner Perry's daughter and rescues her from their clutches. In the second tale, Tala is diving for Abalone, one of her favorite foods. Her desire is to find the island of Amiocap, where people live in peace, something she craves. Tarzan saves her from almost getting eaten by a plesiosaur-and then when they're on their boat they get caught in a storm. Tarzan gets knocked of the canoe and finds himself washed ashore. It's here that he comes across dinosaurs infected with a weird sort of fungus and a race of subterranean humanoids-and prevents this infection from contaminating the lost world.
I always thought there should be way more adventure of Tarzan in Pellucidar but this is one of the few comics that do just that.
