This comic picks up the story from TERMINATOR: INFINITY. it's 2015 and we find out that John Connor is married to a woman named Tara, who fights for the Resistance, and a very young Kyle Reese is their adopted son. After they battle a T-Infinity, a terminator that looks like it's just partial energy, John is transported back to 1996 and manages to save himself. Ironically, his twelve-year-old self asks him afterwards, "What kind of Terminator are you?".
So far I'm liking this far better than the first series from Dynamite. The continuity takes place after the third movie, so it's a completely different time-line than the television series or even any of the previous novel tie-ins.
