Abby Tyler and her crew still find themselves trapped on Caspak-and more than a hundred years in their past. There's also the appearance of giant red ants and sub-human ghoul-looking creatures that come out of the earth and with them the intelligent pterodactyls, the Mahars, from Pellucidar. They've brought with them a captured Dian to communicate with the natives of Caspak, specifically the winged Wieroos, and plan to take over the lost continent together. Will the Tylers and the crew be able to stop the invasion?
This is a great follow-up to Wolfer's THE LAND THAT TIME FORGOT story, tying it together with characters and creatures from AT THE EARTH'S CORE. Highly recommended to all ERB fans out there.
